Having enjoyed gardening from a young age I took the decision to train formally and start a gardening business in 2006. I gained a diploma with distinction from the R.H.S, followed by a Garden Design Diploma with distinction in 2013. Currently I attend several study days each year led by world class designers and gardeners such as Nigel Dunnett, Charles Dowding, and Noel Kingsbury.
I now enjoy designing gardens and planting schemes for new builds, and redesigning planting for older properties. My knowledge of plants and their requirements will ensure that you will get the look that you desire - modern, impactful, naturalistic, cottage, or minimalistic - and that the plants will thrive in your situation. I also enjoy competing at the Shrewsbury Flower Show, where we have won 3 gold medals and in 2019 were 'Best in Show'.

Outside work, I love walking in the Shropshire hills where I live, with my collie Rona; and developing the gardens of the house we moved to 2 years ago. It's about 2 acres, set on a very steep hillside at 750 feet high, so a little different from our last sheltered, town garden in Shrewsbury! Fortunately there is one sheltered area to grow vegetables and cut flowers, and that is my favorite spot. With annual, biennial, and perennial flowers I hope to have something to pick every day of the year.
